Today we discussed fears and questions about the final 6 weeks of Masters and looked forward ro planning dissemination.
We will hold a Grand Masters Mixer on Friday 16th August from 3pm – 5pm in the Dalhousie Building (to be confirmed)
Around 6 students will talk about their projects and Hazel will talk generally about the course and the achievements in the last year.
We will produce a ‘broadsheet’ newspaper that will have short introduction to each project and some general stories about the year. We will pin pages of the paper up as a ‘pop-up’ exhibition in the Dalhouise.
Save the Date: Grand Masters Mixer
Friday 16th August 3pm – 5pm, University of Dundee
Design for Services has been heralded as the new way of bringing creative thinking to complex problems. In the past twelve months, sixteen students from the new Master of Design for Services Programme at Duncan of Jordansone College of Art, Dundee University have been tacking challenges from preventing young people re-offending to encouraging outdoor play to stroke rehabilitation. We have worked with businesses, public and not for profit organisations using design tools including observation, visualisation and prototyping to find new ways of engaging service users and providers to design better ways of doing things.
In a handful of short, engaging talks from a selection of students and staff, we will share the work we have been doing and there will be an opportunity for networking and for you to bring your challenges for next year’s students.
